I'm Jenny and I am happy you are here! I am a woman, wife, fur-mom, Registered Nurse of 22 years, a Certified Parish Nurse, and a Registered Yoga Teacher certified through the National Yoga Alliance - in Hatha Style/Yahweh Yoga and Pre/Post-natal yoga. My passions and life experiences have led me to create Corinthians Branches Wellness, with a focus on 2 main products.

I would like to be the first to welcome you to The Corinthians Branches Wellness Studio where we take a Christ Centered Approach to Wellness.

Our approach is supported by 4 Relationship Pillars, which include:

Our Personal Relationship with God, Christ, the Holy Spirit
Community Relationships
Our Relationship with Our Body - Christ Centered Yoga
Our Relationship with Food - Mindful Eating

Why did I choose these 4 Relationship Pillars?

I have had a lot of life experience (as I am sure you have also), work experience, and ups and downs. I bring this experience to my students, our private community, and into our practice. I have found in life - when my RELATIONSHIPS are on track, I can deal with life much better then when everything is just wonky.

These 4 relationships include:

First, striving on a consistent basis to be in a Christ centered relationship. This means setting time aside each day to be intentional. That is how a relationship works right? You don't just call someone once a year and expect them to feel like you have a nourished relationship with them do you? God wants our attention, He wants our time, Jesus prayed A LOT - to me this means, I need to pray A LOT A LOT. In our community there are different challenges, themes, studies, etc. that will encourage you to be more intentional with Christ. None of us our perfect, but God does know our hearts and our intentions.

Second, It means being part of a community and building relationships with like minded women who desire to practice Christ centered wellness. The quote, "You become who you hang around with." I have found this to be true. When I hang out with positive people, I am more motivated, if I am with "glass half empty" people, I start to see my glass that way, if I am with Christ centered people, I learn more and they challenge me. This community will hopefully comfort you when you need comforting, pray for you, and be fore you what you need in a positive community relationship.

Third, is Movement. For me, moving my body via Christ centered yoga - with consistency results in having a good relationship with my body, muscle tone, endurance, the mirror, my weight, my closet, which reflects in how I act, my confidence, and how I feel. What is your relationship with your body? Do you talk negatively to it? Do you like it? Do you care for it as the temple God blessed you with? A good relationship with your body is essential to living a healthy lifestyle.

The fourth pillar is my relationship with food. I have learned first hand the importance of what we eat - every cell is designed by God to take on the components of what we eat. With processed food, television and the phone, it is easy to eat a whole bag of processed chips without ever really tasting the chip, thinking about what is is made of, and how it is going to support or not support your system. I enjoy food, however, I have learned and have to work every day, very hard, to be disciplined with food. To remember it is a delicacy. When was the last time you got dressed up to eat? When was the last time you used your fine dishes?

How did I become interested in these 4 Pillars?

In 2002, I experienced my first yoga session with a friend who was learning to teach yoga. It was on the outer deck of a boat in Sitka Sound, Alaska. I have been practicing yoga ever since. Experiencing first hand the benefits of a Christian yoga practice, led me to become certified to teach YOU what I have learned and skills I continue to learn on a daily basis. My overall yoga practice encompasses a Christ centered body + mind + heart + soul approach to wellness.

Through my life I have been fascinated with food, why we eat the way we do, and I believe more than anything "we are what we eat" and that "food is medicine. This passion led me to teach Mindful Eating. I hope I get to share my story about gluten with YOU!

When I was 5 I accepted Jesus as my personal savior. However, later in life, I've learned the beauty of a personal relationship with Him. There is a difference between learning about Christ and having a relationship with Him. By practicing Christ centered yoga, Christ centered and Mindful eating, and being active in our community - this organically provides you tools to develop and walk in a deeper relationship with Christ. Then there is community. I love people, watching people, listening to people and their stories.
